Hi, everybody,
I am looking for more Japanese friends, and people who are interested in Japan!
Feel free to Email me:)

Am I the only one who likes the rain in Seattle?

I like the sound of rain.
It is refreshing to hear the sound of pouding sound of water.
Thanks to the rain, we can enjoy pretty trees around us.

Japanese food vs American food

No offense, but why is American food so "not tasty"?
In Japan, grocery stores are filled with tasty Deli items like sushi, Yakisoba noodles, all kinds of
Cooked meats, and of course variety of "bento boxes”.

I suggest all Americans to visit Japan once in their life, you will be amazed!!!

Karaoke boxes are practically everywhere starting from$1.00 per hour. You can order all kinds of yummy dishes and even alcohol in your room. Internet cafe has become popular in a past few years as well. Even though you have an Internet connection at home, it costs as low as$3 per hour, and usually drinks are free. Most of the department stores have grocery store on the bottom level, and it is just far more appealing than ones here in US.
Instead of looking at boring donuts and huge cakes loaded with sugar at Deli section here, you will be seeing freshly baked European style pastries, some of them are very innovative with a touch of Japanese flavors, colorful and intricate beautifully decorated cakes, and Japanese style confectionaries which has been enjoyed just as Shogun and Samurais had been more than 100 years ago.

Japan is simply an amazing country. Not in a big scale of things, but just full of ideas to make your life more interesting.

You can always escape from chaotic environment filled with material things, and take a short trip to serene temples nearby.

Back to my subject, the other day, I paid $8.75 for greasy turky sandwitch at a popular American family restaurant. Restaurants here is more pricy than Japanese restaurants for sure.

And why doesn't most American cook book have pictures in them?
